Non-Profit School Operations Analyst in Herndon, VA

Full-Time :: Permanent Position :: $34-36K + Great Benefits including 100% tuition reimbursement

Job Overview
The School Operations Analyst is responsible for the detailed analysis of data files received from college and university customers. Primary activities include working in a production environment to analyze data files for inconsistencies against company standards and requirements; contacting the customer via phone, email and fax to coordinate the accurate/efficient cure of deficiencies in accordance with policies and procedures. Related activities include negotiating, establishing and maintaining a schedule of data transmissions for school customers, documenting customer communication and submission processing activities, as well as fostering a positive relationship with clients. During peak season, approximately 20+ files per day are completed.

Main Responsibilities
Analyze a report of the characteristics and potential error conditions of data files to facilitate the timely loading of information to the database for availability to requestors.
Utilize computer based applications to review and compare current information provided by clients to historical data contained in the database. (60%)
Contact clients via phone, email and fax to provide a method of corrective action necessary to resolve identified discrepancies in a timely manner. (20%)
Perform data entry of information provided by clients
Review and input of data provided by clients into computer application. (10%)
Contact school clients and request information needed to maintain accurate and up-to-date information
Contact school clients via phone, fax and email to request information necessary to maintain accurate and up-to-date data, points of contact, and expected dates of future data transmissions. (10%)

Job Requirements
Prior experience working in a bank environment is required
US citizens and permanent residents only
Pass a background check
Must live within a commutable distance to Herndon, VA
Possess or currently pursuing a bachelor's degree
Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service setting working directly and successfully with external clients to provide a service, resolve problems and/or inquiries
Computer proficiency with web based apps, databases and Microsoft Office
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work on teams
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to assess and adapt to changing priorities and procedures

Nice to have
Previous experience working in a bank is highly desired
